"2018 University Monitoring and Evaluation Reports” was announced by the Higher Education Council (YÖK).
Marmara University ranked first in the "Internationalization" category according to the indicator relating the "Number of incoming students within international exchange programs".
In the statement made by the Erasmus Coordinatorship of our university: “Our university’s rector Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar plays an important role in achieving this success because he attaches importance to and incentive for internationalization of education. In addition, the International Relations and Academic Cooperation Office’s cooperation with the Faculty/Erasmus Coordinators in order to increase the number and satisfaction of the incoming students within the Erasmus Exchange program is very effective in this rate of increase.
The contribution of the ESN Marmara Community, which carries out various studies for Erasmus Incoming students is also very important in this success.
What is Esn Marmara?
Esn Marmara Community, established in 2009 within the body of Marmara University; It works to make the experience of the exchange students easier and enjoyable. The community working to ensure that students do not feel away from their homes also creates areas where they can socialize and enables them to adapt to our culture.
For this purpose, ESN Marmara organizes various events throughout the year such as Family Day, Alumni Talks, City Game, where the members get together and chat. With its activities and trips, Exchange students are able to get to know our country better and to raise awareness of what is happening in our country and in the world, so that, students can experience the educational side of Erasmus +. With projects such as helping refugee children, feeding street animals and distributing soup to the homeless, the ESN Community helps these students to gain awareness of social responsibility.
The exchange students who have adopted the slogan “ESN Marmara is very beautiful!” show us that they see themselves as part of this large Marmara family.
