The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) presented the Istanbul Development Dialogues (Istanbul Development Dialogues) meetings on April 3-4, 2018 at the Marriott Hotel Şişli .Marmara University Prof.Refika Bakoğlu, Prof. Mahmut Tekçe, Assoc. Prof.Sema Cerit Mazlum and Lecturer Betül Hande Gürsoy joined attented the program from Marmara University. At the meeting government representatives from different countries, business executives, civil society employees and academics, the role of public institutions and the private sector discussed in all dimensions in order to achieve sustainable development goals. Panels were organized on topics such as sustainable development in Europe and Central Asia, the role of governments, global goals in terms of businesses, the model of complexity and development 2.0, the planet's border and resilience, peace and governance. In addition, a partnership forum session was held for the presentation of old and new partners. Director of International Sustainability Research and Application Center Prof. Refika Bakoğlu stated that they are ready to support the United Nations' global targets locally by bringing the center's work to the agenda. At the Marmara University stand, which was established in the meeting area, the representatives of our university gave information about our university and studies on sustainability.
