Thanks to this technique that was displayed through a live surgery on March 6 and 7, 2019, number and size of the metastasis included in liver cancer are no longer an obstacle for surgery  and these patient group are able to gain an oppurtunity to undergo an operation.    

Prof. Masatoshi Makuuchi, who performed the world’s first adult-to-adult  living donor liver transplantation (LDLT),  was also hosted in Marmara University Rectorate Building located in Sultanahmet Campus. He was accompanied by the other surgeons and oncologists from USA, Japan, Korea, Italy and  abroad; and notable physicians of our country.
