Marmara University has received the highest Erasmus+ grant among higher education institutions in Turkey within the scope of Erasmus+ Program/ Learning Mobility of Individuals (KA131) executed by EU and the Turkish National Agency.
Every year, Marmara University continues to introduce hundreds of students and academic-administrative staff to the experience of studying abroad and work experience. In this context, the total amount of grants allocated by the European Union and the Turkish National Agency increases every year, and since 2015, it continues to be the university that is entitled to receive the highest grant among higher education institutions in Turkey. It is aimed to increase the successful momentum achieved in the field of student and staff exchange within the scope of the Erasmus+ program between 2014-2020, through more projects, student and staff exchanges in the 2021-2027 period.
According to the Grant Distribution Results announced by the Turkish National Agency for the 2022 Project Period, Marmara University was awarded a total of 1.575.090 Euros within the scope of Erasmus+ Learning Mobility of Individuals (KA131), and became the institution that managed to receive the highest grant among 203 universities. Marmara university, which has sent and hosted many students abroad for many years, has succeeded in increasing the amount of grants allocated to it regularly every year thanks to its performance. Marmara University is followed by Ankara University, Yıldız Technical University, Istanbul Technical University, Hacettepe University, Ege University, Middle East Technical University, Boğaziçi University, Istanbul University and İhsan Doğramacı Bilkent University, respectively.
