Within the Middle East Sociology and Anthropology USA lecturer Mutay Den Butter’s ‘’The Media and Popular Culture in the Middle East’’ course, 25th Semester Hatay Deputy Mehmet Alğan  was the guest of the of the seminar organized for the graduate students. In his seminar,Alğan gave information about , Mardin, Beirut and Antakya, which were accepted as centers of civilization, and their cultures by taking into consideration the historical and sociological structures of the cities.
