The conference, organized with the aim to discuss the developments in the international investment and commercial law and the consequences of those developments, was attended by 21 speakers from the six different, lawyers who are mainly academicians and students as audience.

Vice Rector of Marmara University Prof. Dr. Mustafa Çelen and Economic Development Foundation General Secretary Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas made the opening speech of the conference. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Çelen pointed out the importance of organizing this conference,   saying, “one of the most factor for the economic developments of the countries is the investment and international agreements, consequently, trade  wars appear in the international arena and states are forced to get  new position”,  and presented his thanks to all domestic and international participants of the conference. Economic Development Foundation General Secretary Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas talked about the  history of the Economic Development Foundation and its contributions for the relationship of Turkey with the European Union, and are honored to contribute  to such a significant conference. The session moderatorship of the conference was  made by the Deputy Chair of Economic Development Foundation Prof. Dr. Haluk Kabaalioğlu, Prof. Dr. Günseli Öztekin Gelgel of Istanbul University, Prof. Dr. Yusuf Çalışkanof İbnu Haldun University and Economic Development Foundation General Secretary Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas.
