The key findings for success in professional life were shared in international research and concrete experiences at the training,taking place at the Göztepe Campus.
The seminar started with the presentation of President of MDN, the international consultancy network, and Murat Daoudov, Lecturer of the Faculty of Political Sciences of Marmara University, on "Entering Business Calls: Career Development and Language Learning Strategies". Daoudov shared key information about personal development for the preparation of the career, social environment acquisition, knowledge and skills accumulation, and language learning . Emphasizing that it would not be enough to have a single occupation in the present and in the future, Daoudov underlined that young people need to add other social and technical skills as well as a few language skills in addition to the areas they have studied.
In the second half of the seminar, Pearson Higher Education and Business Development Manager Sinan Kezer made a presentation on "Skills for the Future". He emphasized that with the technological and industrial developments, the professions were changing and while some professions disappeared, new professions appeared and this process would continue at an accelerated pace. Kezer also noted the importance of patience and effort to learn new information and skills as well as curiosity and research for young people, while also referring to what the employers are looking for in the staff in the light of the extensive research done by Pearson,which is a global publishing and education solutions company.
