Lecturers and disabled student unit coordinators from 15 universities located in Istanbul participated as audiences to the introduction of the lesson, which is given in spring term of the 2017-2018 academic year in the Engineering Faculty and with the contributions of Istanbul Governorship Information Accesibility Commission.   After the opening speech of Prof.  Dr. Ömer Akgiray, Family, Labor and social Services Istanbul Provincial Deputy Director and Istanbul Governorship Head of  Information Accesibility Commission Halis Kuralay  gave information about the accessibility. The other member of the commission Onur Cantimur made a presentation on information accessibility and support technologies for persons having impaired hearing.  The presentations on the navigation for sight-disabled person and information accessibility for those person were made respectively by Adem Vural and Dr. Engin Yılmaz.

Prepared with the aim to introduce to new generation engineer candidates the information accessibility, to provide that they should make it as priority principles, to show them the way for their productivities on this issue and to promote the aceessibility, 14- week content of “Information Accessibility and Suppport Technologies Lesson” was introduced by Dr. Engin Yılmaz who is commission member and also lecturer of Boğaziçi University.
