ICS Board Member Prof. Sibel Özel PhD made a presentation about "The Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions" , the 16th sustainable development target adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nati ons for sustainable development in 2030. This goal emphasizes the importance of peace for sustainable development, a society that embraces peace, manifests justice and embraces all, and sets forth the mutual relationship between rule of law and development.

Prof. Sibel Özel PhD explained the concept of the rule of law, the World Justice Project's Rule of Law (Rule of Law) Index 2017-2018 data and Turkey's status. As Index clearly shows, there is a direct relationship between the rule of law and sustainable development. In conclusion,the rule of law and the effectiveness of institutional structures are necessary for fair and comprehensive development.The conference ended with the questions of the participants.
