In TEKNOFEST 2023, where participants exhibited their projects in many categories, the "HARS" team, consisting of members of Marmara University Mechatronics Engineering Club, managed to take part in the competition as a finalist. The team, which included Remzi Yılmaz, Meriç Setan, Yaren Çolak, Oğuzhan Polat, Fırat Türker Ircı, Can Bara, Omar Tarabin and Muhammet Kılıç, competed in the Agricultural Unmanned Land Vehicle category.
Agricultural Unmanned Ground Vehicle "HARS" detects and destroys foreign plants in all terrain conditions thanks to its robot arm and camera. All parts of the vehicle designed in a practical way were produced entirely by students. The software of the vehicle, which is used as semi-autonomous, manual and fully autonomous, was also developed by the project team. With the necessary arrangements, HARS is planned to be developed in 3 versions in total, as a minesweeper detector and an armed unmanned ground vehicle, in addition to its use as an agricultural unmanned ground vehicle in the future.
We congratulate our students for these important future projects and wish them continued success.
