At the meeting held in the office of Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kurt and attended by the  Presidents of Turkish Footwear Industry Research, Development and Education Foundation (TASEV), Turkish Footwear Manufacturers' Association (TASD) and Footwear Sub-Industrialists' Association (AYSAD), the issue about the opening of a Shoe Engineering program in Higher Education was discussed.

TASEV Chairman of the Board Hüseyin Çetin shared the requirements of the program, TASD Chairman of the Board Berke İçten shared the industry's expectations from the shoe engineering program and the views of the engineer candidates about their position and needs in the industry. AYSAD Board Member Oğuz Aksu expressed his technical and engineering perspective in shoes.

The meeting was attended by Assoc. Prof. Muhammet Uzun, who is a lecturer of the Faculty of Technology, Textile Engineering Department and  also TASEV Program Advisor, TASEV Education Coordinator Atilla Başlar and TASEV General Coordinator Dilber Evelek.
