2nd Mechatronics and Innovation Dates was held Marmara University Göztepe Campus Şehit Ömer Halisdemir Sport Hall. The event provides the opportunity for students of engineering departments and technological fields and those who are interested in the field to contest in same platform with their projects. The opening ceremony of the event was held with the participation of Üsküdar Mayor Hilmi Türkmen in the Technology Faculty Conference Hall. Opening speeches of the event were made Head of Mechatronics Engineering Department Prof. Nihat Akkuş, Üsküdar Mayor Hilmi Türkmen and Technology Faculty Vice Dean Prof. Özkan Gülsoy. After Industry 4.0 panel following the opening ceremony, robot contests were began in the sport hall.

During the event, contests will be held under 7 categories such as Sumo Robot, Mini Sumo, Micro Sumo, Mega Sumo, Terrain Robot, Multikopter Robot, Free Project, and Undergraduate Dissertation Project.  Simultaneously, in career dates pioneer firms in their field will reunite with participants and university-industry communication will have been provided.
