Marmara University Accredited by Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK)

"2024 YÖKAK International Quality Assurance and Accreditation Conference", organized by the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK), was hosted by Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University on Thursday, April 25, with a certificate presentation ceremony to the universities that were entitled to receive an accreditation certificate. The conference was attended by the President of the Council of Higher Education (CoHE) Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, YÖKAK President Prof. Dr. Ümit Kocabıçak, university rectors, deans and many academics. 

Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kurt Was Presented Accreditation Certificate

The Accreditation Certificate of Marmara  University, which successfully met the quality standards in higher education, was presented to  Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kurt by CoHE President Prof. Erol Özvar at the 2024 YÖKAK International Quality Assurance and Accreditation Conference.

In his speech at the conference, CoHE President  Özvar stated that achieving excellence in the higher education system is one of the main goals and said: "The two important mainstays in achieving this are quality assurance and accreditation." Stating that their goal is to complete the accreditation processes of all universities in Turkey by 2027, Özvar shared his visions for the next 5-year period. About his vision for the future, "Based on quality and academic productivity in university management, encouraging progressiveness, diversity and educational mobility among university youth, focusing on competencies sensitive to technological changes in the design of higher education programs, our goal for the next five years period is to transform scientific and technological research into qualified publications, as well as to create a higher education system that directs it to areas that will serve our country's development goals, prioritizes international higher education, and finally is sensitive to national, regional and global problems, and guides the future at a universal level.”

Prof. Özvar,  said: "The success we will achieve in these areas will, on the one hand, increase the quality of our higher education and, on the other hand, will ensure that more qualified international students show interest in our universities. Thus, our country, which is among the top 10 in the world, will be one step closer to its goal of becoming one of the top 5 countries.”
